I don't like the idea of Santa outdoing me AND I hate the idea that my child goes to school bragging about some extravagant gift that Santa brought him but the big guy only gave something smaller to his little mate. So, in our house, the big pressie comes from us. Here are some of the bigger items that our CB parents are considering this year.
Trybikes have been a no-brainer for some years now. Not only do they look the goods, they are made from steel so they are solid, and the ability to convert them from a trike to a bike when the time comes means that they will be ridden for several years. We recommend these as a trike from about 18 months and then conversion can happen when your child is ready to make that step. With the convertible seat height they should be riding these until about 6. When they are outgrown they are such great quality that they'll be ready for the next child to love too.
Made with eco-friendly bamboo and birch wood, Kinderfeet balance bikes and trikes comes with low step-through frames, adjustable seats, foot pegs, biodegradable tyres and padded handlebars, guaranteeing comfort and stability. Add the cute basket on the front and don't forget the all-important helmet and your little person will be ready to roll.
Help your toddler gain confidence while developing their balance and motor skills with a walker or wagon. The brightly coloured blocks in the wagon will mean hours of play and toys of this quality will last and last.
If you are shopping for a small toddler then these multi-directional Wheely Bugs are a cute and fun option. They are safe and easy to use for children who are learning to walk, helping to strengthen little legs and continue to be fun and engaging right through the post toddler years.
Just arrived and ready for pre-order the Kinder Scooter is crafted with sustainably sourced birchwood, beechwood, water-based paints and child-safe finishings. While exploring the world on wheels, your little ones will develop their balance and coordination, strengthen gross motor skills and gain confidence!
We are happy to help if you would like more info on any of our products. Send us a message or email anytime....our customer service team and I love hearing from you!

]]>Gone are the days when it was only little girls that we bought dolls for. Many little boys love them too! And boys get all the same benefits as girls do from playing with them, as they too need to develop the same emotional skills.
Doll play helps to practice helping, sharing, nurturing and caring skills. Your toddler gets to re-enact their own experience or perhaps prepare for a new sibling or get to care for their baby doll while parents are caring for a new baby.
The diverse range of dolls that we stock at Cherrie Baby also promotes inclusivity and acceptance of others. Our anatomically correct dolls from brands like Miniland and Mini Colettos are culturally diverse with a range of hair colours. The range also includes dolls with Down syndrome and hearing aids.
Magnetic play creates opportunities for children to develop their fine motor skills and cognitive development. Our Tiger Tribe magnetic packs are also really good for travel on car trips or on the plane OR throw them in your handbag for when you're out and about or at the coffee shop = screen free fun for hours!
If you haven't been under a rock I'm sure you have seen and heard us rave about Connetix. It's something that you can start buying for a 3 year old and they will have all their older brothers, sisters and friends (and even Mum and Dad!) playing along too. Connetix has developed innovative magnetic tile packs that grow in scope and complexity as children learn new fine motor skills and geometric concepts.
Add to the party with our range of Connetix expansion packs that can be combined with the 212 mega pack, starter packs and ball runs for even more fun. As they keep discovering new ways to use Connetix, children learn about motion and gravity, action and excitement. The more pieces you add to your collection, the more is possible — there’s no such thing as the right way to play with Connetix!
What toddler doesn't love creating a bit of a bang on the xylophone or in the pots and pans cupboard??! Encourage their musical side with a quality musical toy from brands like Tender Leaf Toys, Djeco or I'm Toy. Also a great way to get revenge on someone else for all those noisy gifts they gave your child! 🤣
Puzzles develop memory skills, as well as an ability to plan, test ideas and solve problems. While completing a puzzle, children need to remember shapes, colours, positions and strategies to complete them. All great reasons to add one under the Christmas tree for your child this year!
Tiger Tribe really is a necessity on your Christmas shopping list this year. Their product range, including soooo many new products recently, is incredible. It's creative, screen-free, portable and educational all rolled into one and I seriously can't rate them high enough. From bath toys, to creativity packs, magnetic play and baby toys, and the price point is perfect too for the Christmas stocking.

STEAM learning is an approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking.
Makes sense now right?! I think we get the gist of it anyway. And when buying a gift for a beloved child I'm all about it being fun as well as educational.
At Cherrie Baby we have many hundreds of products that tick some or all of those boxes. Our Tiger Tribe Magnificent ABC and Patternation Eco-City are perfect examples.
Then there is the Sassi range of What How and Why books focusing on Earth and Inventions, and their Puzzle and Book Sets - The Sea, The Earth, Space, Animals, Dinosaurs and The Human Body.

It's not all about the big kids. At Cherrie Baby we have some fabulous options for the little ones too. Check out our Kiddie Connect - ABC Chunky and Tracing Puzzle in Lowercase and Uppercase, the Clock Puzzle, the Water Cycle Puzzle, or our 1-10 Car Puzzle.
Sassi Puzzle and Books sets for children aged 24mths+ include - My First Alphabet and My First Numbers... and the sound books Who Lives in the Sea?, Who Lives in the Jungle?, Construction Site Vehicles, The Wood, and the Farm.

]]>We love babies (seriously, who doesn't?) and watching them grow into toddlers and then going off to school gives us so much joy. At Cherrie Baby we stock clothing from size newborn to 16 as well as shoes and toys for many ages and we can help you find the perfect gift for a baby or bigger kid.
Babies are so easy to buy for! There are so many adorable options that the hardest part is choosing between them all. If you are looking for a practical gift, you can't go past the necessities, like bibs dummies, or swaddles or sleepsuits. If you'd rather a keepsake our new Wooderful Life carousels have been really popular. Other suggestions for this age might be a rattle or teether, a nice play mat, or even a soft toy or comforter. Don't forget we can personalise your Jellycat Bunny or soother or many of the OB Design toys to make it that bit more special.
As your toddler and pre-schooler grows and starts to eat independently, meal times and learning to eat and feed themselves becomes pretty full on.....it can be messy and challenging! We can definitely help though with some great feeding products from We Might Be Tiny, Re-Play, Subo Food bottles, Love Mae dinnerware and Munchbox bento-style lunchboxes. These are also perfect and practical gifts!
Toddlers are also fairly easy to buy for while they are learning to enjoy books, and starting to discover pretend play with our dolls and wooden toy sets. Floor puzzles that encourage memory and problem solving skills are great for this age, as are arts & craft activities from brands like Tiger Tribe to encourage their fine motor skills and creativity.
When the toddler days end and your little one has suddenly turned into a big kid, it comes time to start thinking about the next stage of growth and development. Our most popular items for this age group are definitely Connetix and bikes!
Our two bike brands at Cherrie Baby are Kinderfeet and Trybike, both offering different styles of bikes, and depending on your preferences, there are some excellent features of both. The quality is incredible and these are made to be passed down to the next child to enjoy.
We've just received the brand new Kinderfeet Scooter this week and it will be another popular Christmas present option for this age group.
